A small wooden baseball card stand at the former Palm Springs Angels stadium proved to be more popular with this group of young boys than the game itself. Milk crates enabled those customers not tall enough to reach the counter for an evening of wheeling and dealing. The Palm Springs franchise moved south to a new venue in Lake Elsinore beginning 1994.
