John Anderson, pitcher with the former Reno Silversox, plays with his namesake, John Jr., during pregame warm-ups at the wind-swept Moana Park, where pop ups could easily become home run shots on certain chilly nights.
A bit off the Cal loopís beaten path, Reno was always the most popular road trip -- steak dinners for a few dollars and other diversions in "The Biggest Little City in the World." Reno fielded the Silversox in the Cal League from 1955 through 1992
