As the sun sets on Stockton's Billy Hebert Field -- setting of the famous poem "Casey at the Bat" -- waiting is the name of the game. Waiting for the bus, waiting for batting practice, waiting to get into the game, and inevitably waiting for that call to the big leagues. Billy Hebert, the West Coast's most-tenured ballpark, retires at the end of the 2004 season to be succeeded by the new Banner Island Ballpark in downtown Stockton.
